Oscars 2016: Best Dressed

Unless you are living under a rock, you were watching The 88th Academy Awards last night. Compared to all the other awards show recently, (in my humble opinion) the Oscars had by far the best fashion. This made it very tricky to narrow down my favorite looks because there was so much variety and risk taking on the red carpet last night. So here they are, the best dressed celebrities of the night.

Jennifer Lawrence

This was hands down one of my favorite looks of the night. JLaw looked like a queen walking down the red carpet in this black Dior Haute Couture gown.

Daisy Ridley

Daisy Ridley

The Star Wars: The Force Awakens actress, sparkled in a midi-length silver frock by Chanel Haute Couture. I think what I love most about this dress is how the length allowed it to stand out from the pack. The midi-length plus the sparkly earrings, bracelet, and ring were truly styled to perfection.

Saoirse Ronan

Looking like a glittery mermaid, Saoirse rocked a sequined emerald Calvin Klein Collection dress. Her mismatched earrings (one pearl and one emerald by Chopard) were the perfect touch for this look!

Brie Larson

The Oscar winner rocked a blue embellished gown by Gucci, which she paired with a matching jeweled hair accessory. Although I personally thought the belt was a bit too much, as a whole she looked beautiful walking down the red carpet.

Jennifer Garner

Jennifer chose an off-the-shoulder black Atelier Versace gown and opted to keep her hair pulled back for the occasion. I am convinced she just becomes more beautiful with age!

All eyes on her! Naomi Watts stunned at the 2016 Oscars on Sunday night slipping into a stunning Armani Prive gown embellished with thousands of sequins

Naomi Watts

Sparkly gowns were definitely a trend last night! Naomi chose a purple and blue strapless sequined Armani Prive gown. She looked absolutely stunning in this colorful option.

Chrissy Teigen

I am pretty sure no one can rock pregnancy fashion quite like Chrissy. She opted for a red beaded sheer “naked” gown for the Oscars, and was absolutely glowing. The best part of her look? Her husband John Legend, they are seriously #relationshipgoals.

Rooney Mara

Rooney’s sheer white gown by Givenchy Haute Couture was truly a piece of art. She looked like a futuristic bride in this embroidered dress with a diamond cut out for an added point of interest.

Margot Robbie

I guess it’s true what they say, “Dress for the job you want!” Margot was definitely channeling Oscar vibes in her gold Diane Von Furstenberg gown. The deep V-neckline perfectly balanced out the long sleeved gown, keeping Margot from getting lost in the material.

Rachel McAdams

Rachel McAdams

Last but certainly not least, Rachel opted for an emerald gown and completely stole the show with this backless August Getty Atelier choice. Pairing this dress with a slicked back updo, neutral makeup, and sparkly dangling earrings allowed the actress to shine.

What was your favorite look of the night? Did I miss any showstoppers?

Golden Globes 2016: Best Dressed

Last night the 73rd Golden Globes honoring the best in TV and film was all anyone could watch/tweet about! As with most awards show, I could not help but round up my favorite looks spotted throughout the night. Here is my list of must see looks from the awards show!

Brie Larson

Brie looked like a golden goddess in her halter Calvin Klein gown. This look is sure to top all the Best Dressed articles.

Zendaya brought the drama to the red carpet in this show stopping Marchesa gown. The star opted for a red dress with floral embellishments and tiered skirt. Simple accessories in the form of jeweled dropped earrings and a black clutch kept Zendaya’s look from becoming too overwhelming.

Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga exuded Hollywood Glamour in this Marilyn Monroe styled ensemble.

Jenna Dewan Tatum

This is hands down one of my favorite looks from the night. Jenna looked absolutely stunning in this navy blue gown with layers of sequins. If only I had an excuse to wear a dress like this…

Saoirse Ronan

Saoirse looked angelic walking the red carpet last night in Yves Saint Laurent. Her Grecian goddess gown was like a breath of fresh air from the multitude of sparkles and brightly colored dresses around her.

Kate Bosworth

Kate was a sparkly mermaid in this strapless pink Dolce & Gabbana sequined gown.

People’s Choice Awards 2016: Best Dressed

Last night’s People’s Choice Awards Show was filled with some crazy moments (that guy that jumped on stage during The Talk acceptance speech!) and stunning fashion! Here are my favorite celeb ensembles from the night.

Kate Hudson

Because a jumpsuit never goes out of style! Kate Hudson looked incredible in this simple white Galvan jumpsuit. It was the perfect choice to represent a fresh start in fashion in the new year!

Dakota Johnson Dress Peoples Choice Awards

Dakota Johnson

Okay so this photo does NOT do this look any justice, but I couldn’t find a shot of Dakota on the red carpet. Her sparkly Armani Prive top and matching floor length skirt moved beautifully as she stepped on stage to accept her award for Favorite Dramatic Movie Actress. I think my favorite part was the thin straps on the crop top, it gave her look a more 90s feel. Hands down my favorite look of the night!

Ashley Benson

Beaded shoulders added a touch of glam to Ashley’s little black minidress.

Lea Michele

Lea also jumped on the LBD trend in this Elie Saab embroidered mini dress. I love that she picked an edgier look compared to her typically more colorful awards show outfits.

Julianne Hough

Julianne looked sleek and sparkly in her off the shoulder crop top and matchy skirt. I think her choice of smoky eye and topknot hair styling pulled this entire look together beautifully

American Music Awards 2015: Best Dressed

Another day another awards show! Last night was the annual American Music Awards held in LA, California. As with all awards shows, the stars wore incredible ensembles (some better than others!) that need to be recapped. Here are my favorite looks from the music filled night!

Carrie Underwood

All that glitters…Carrie came dressed as a modern Glinda The Good Witch in her sparkly mini and matching cape. The rose gold color was absolute perfection on her! Carrie can truly do no wrong on the red carpet.

Zendaya was truly pretty in pink last night! Her flower embroidered blouse and skirt were the perfect pop of color amongst the other celebs. She also somehow managed to find a matching pair of pink punks…pretty much impossible!

selena-gomez-amas-best-dressed-american-music-awards-2015Selena Gomez

Glitter was clearly a trend last night! Selena came dressed in a knockout red sparkly open-backed gown. Keeping her accessories and makeup on the more simple side, kept Selena’s look from becoming, well…too much!

Kendall & Kylie Jenner

The Jenner sisters were the definition of edgy last night. Both rocked the red carpet in black ensembles, that lets face it, could not be ignored. They were expertly styled, but I have to say Kendall’s look is my favorite. Her hair, that dress, and those shoes were amazing!

Demi Lovato

Demi showed up looking like she was straight out of the 20s! I love that she went with finger waves and dark gothic makeup, but chose a gown in a modern print. It created the perfect show stopper look on the red carpet.

Julianne Hough, 2015 American Music Awards

Julianne Hough

I”l admit, I was initially on the fence with this look. That being said, I think Julianne looked like a beautiful modern-day Cleopatra. The print was funky and colorful, but the sleek hair, makeup, and the double leg slits kept the dress from overpowering her.

What were your favorite looks of the night? Any incredible looks I failed to list?

CMA 2015: Best Dressed

If there is one thing I love, it’s driving my bright red car down a back road in Pennsylvania, windows down, blasting my favorite country music. It is probably one of my favorite things about summertime. Although it is fall (but strangely still feels like summer weather wise!) I am still embracing my love of country music, one that seems to grow with every passing year. Last night was the perfect event to embrace this love, by watching the annual Country Music Awards! As with all awards shows, there are some people who just knock their looks out of the park. Here they are, my favorite ensembles from the night!

Carrie Underwood

Most women would be intimidated to wear coral/orange, it is not exactly the easiest color to pull off, but not Carrie! Somehow, (like always!) Carrie Underwood looked absolutely flawless in her peplum & mermaid gown!

Jana Gramer

Jana wore an embellished royal blue gown that was the perfect way to show off her baby bump. She truly lit up the red carpet!

Danielle Bradbury

I’ve mentioned Danielle on the blog before and once again she looked amazing! Her little black gown was a great choice for the formal event but the sheer skirt and floral embroidery kept it young and modern.

Kelsea Ballerini

Another one who isn’t new to my Best Dressed lists, Kelsea! Does she look like a princess or what?! This ballgown definitely stood out from the crowd and was the perfect sparkly choice for the nominee!

Kimberly Perry

Last but not least, Kimberly Perry! I love when stars surprise me on the red carpet, and Kimberly’s look was no exception. I was definitely not expected such a sleek and edgy look from the country rocker, buy she pulled it off flawlessly.

Emmys 2015: Best Dressed

Yesterday marked the biggest night for TV, the 67th Primetime Emmy Awards! As with all awards show the stars came dressed to impressed. It is always fun to see my favorite celebrities decked out on the red carpet. As with all awards show, I rounded up my favorite looks from the night.

Sarah Hyland

The Modern Family star looked sophisticated and glamorous in this off the shoulder Zac Posen gown. Although simple, her tousled lob hairstyle and funky jewelry completed this look perfectly.

gina-rodriguez-emmys-2015Gina Rodriguez

Looking like a beautiful swan princess, Gina Rodriguez sparkled on the red carpet. The Lorena Sarbu beaded bodice and feathered tulle skirt was a winning combination for the Jane the Virgin star. Her red clutch added a great pop of color against the white gown.

julie-bowen-emmys-awards-2015Julie Bowen

Similar to her onscreen daughter, Sarah Hyland, Julie Bowen rocked an off the shoulder gown. Multiple straps at the neckline added a point of interest, providing a modern spin on the little  black dress. The mermaid style Georges Chakra gown also gave a touch of glamour.

keirnan-shirpka-emmys-2015Kiernan Shipka

Kiernan proved that you didn’t need a gown last night to turn heads. The Mad Men star rocked a yellow embroidered peplum top with black trousers and black pumps. This photo truly does not do her Dior look justice. She looked beautiful and age appropriate, which is not always an easy feat for young starlets!

Kerry Washington

Looking like a gladiator princess, this Marc Jacobs gown was hard to miss. A risky look for the Scandal star, but she without a doubt nailed it!

Maisie-Williams-emmys-2015-emmy-awardsMaisie Williams

The Game of Thrones star looked pretty in pink last night in her beautiful midi quilted gown. I have to say my favorite part was those fun fuzzy shoes! She is definitely a fashionista on the rise! Also her penguin clutch was absolutely adorable!

amanda-peet-emmys-2015-emmy-awardsAmanda Peet

I absolutely LOVED Amanda’s Michael Kors gown last night. I thought the embroidery was beautiful. Also, the pop of skin showing at her rib cage mirrored the crop top trend in a red carpet way.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus

Seriously does Julia age? This elegant look was perfection on the red carpet. It was clear that black was a recurring theme last night, but she knocked it out of the park!

It was REALLY hard to narrow down my list to these eight looks! What was your favorite red carpet choice from last night’s Emmy Awards?

VMAs 2015: Best Dressed

I am back again with the best dressed list from the last of the this years big awards show! The MTV Video Music Awards are always filled with fashion risks, and this year was no exception. I’ve chosen my favorite best dressed looks from the night…do you agree?

taylor-swift-mtv-vmas-2015-video-music-awardsTaylor Swift

First and foremost, Taylor Swift can pretty much do no wrong on the red carpet. She looked stunning when she showed up in this futuristic crop top combination with killer heels. She was clearly gearing up for her wins for Best Pop Video and Best Female Video.

demi-lovato-mtv-vmas-2015-video-music-awardsDemi Lovato

Demi Lovato also looked incredible last night in this pink mini dress with geometric designs. Her slicked back hair kept her looking modern and stunning (as always!)

helen-lasichanh-pharrell-williams-mtv-vmas-2015-video-music-awardsHelen Lasichanh and Pharrell Williams

Channeling Britney & Justin, Pharell and Helen showed up in their own denim on denim ensembles. Casual but perfection, this modern take on a wardrobe staple was a fun change from the constant stream of gowns.

lily-aldridge-mtv-vmas-2015-video-music-awardsLily Aldridge

Lily looked absolutely stunning in this plunging little black dress. Simple but elegant, this gown was the perfect choice for the model. rs_634x1024-150830163801-634.gigi-hadid.cm.83015Gigi Hadid

If anyone can pull off a yellow leotard…its Gigi Hadid. The golden outfit certainly stood out from the other looks on the red carpet and was a daring choice for the model.

Hailee Steinfeld

Sometimes less IS more. Hailee looked incredible in this minimalist ensemble, a white jumpsuit complete with a silver collar necklace. Her look proves that you don’t need an overwhelming amount of glitz and glamour to look like a star.
