I decided to hold off on my holiday gift guides until we actually made it to December. Even though the day after Halloween everything is solely focused on Christmas, I try to wait until after Thanksgiving to get in the holiday spirit! I will admit that I am a little behind this year. Especially since it is 8 days until Christmas Eve, now is the time to buy those last minute gifts!
So first up, arguably the hardest person on your list: Mom. She’s always the first to say “Oh I don’t need anything” but you still want to get her something special! I think the most important thing to keep in mind when holiday gift shopping for your mom (and the other people on your list!) is to get them something they need but don’t necessarily want to buy themselves. I’ve rounded up a few gifts that your Mom will love!
Cashmere Scarf – A cashmere scarf is a great gift idea! Soft, warm, and something that your mom may not necessarily think to indulge in for herself.
Earrings – A little sparkle is always a good idea! These Kendra Scott dangles will be a great addition to your mom’s jewelry collection.
Ugg Slippers – Who doesn’t love a great pair of slippers? A gift that your mom can use all year long especially as the season (hopefully!) gets cooler!
Comfy Pajamas – The best part about this gift? You can monogram it! A new set of warm flannel pajamas is a great option for your mom! Pajamas could also be a great gift for everyone in your family, because who doesn’t love a matching gift?
Perfume & Bath Oil – Although I normally would avoid buying perfume (it really is such a personal decision!) a soft floral fragrance is a very thoughtful gift for your mom. Jo Malone has so many incredible scents, but I have to say this is one of favorites!
Leather Driving Gloves – Just because it is cold out doesn’t mean your mom can’t have stylish gloves. These are a wonderful upgrade that are both functional and cute!
Candle – Because a delicious smelling candle is something my mom would never buy herself, but is an indulgent gift to include in her stocking!
Lipstick – So ever since I started working at a beauty company, my lipstick collection has grown astronomically. My mom isn’t a lipstick convert yet, but I’m thinking that if I find her the perfect shade, I can make her just as obsessed with my favorite beauty product as I am.
Desk Calendar – Okay now before you write this off, this is a gift that she will appreciate in the new year. My mom buys the same monthly planner every year, but I’m thinking maybe I could upgrade her desk this year too!
Experience Gift – Last but not least, consider buying your mom an experience gift! A gift card to her favorite restaurant or a spa, tickets to a Broadway show, or even a girls weekend trip together! Planning a fun experience in the future is great gift that you and your mom can both enjoy together!
I hope this holiday gift guide sparks some ideas for your mom! Anything else I should add to the list?
