Okay so this post is unlike one I have done before…it is a shameless plug for one of my all time FAVORITE movies. Netflix added many new movies to its collection for the month of August and I was delighted to see Bride & Prejudice on the list.
This is a bollywood version of the classic story, Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen. My friend Steph introduced to this movie to me back when we were middle school besties. It quickly became our one of our all time favorites! We even tried to mimic the dance scenes from our favorite song “No Life Without Wife.” (Clearly we were pretty cool kids!). However, when we showed this movie to our other friends, they were less than impressed. Even so, it has remained one of those movies we just keep going back too. Surprisingly, I saw this movie before the Pride & Prejudice film starring Keira Knightley, and before reading the book. It has remained one of my favorite movies none the less.
Bride & Prejudice is the perfect movie to watch after a break up or just to watch for a good time. Everything about it is wonderful, hysterical, and colorful. The lipsyncing is hilarious and the songs are actually really catchy. I know every line and every song by heart and can lipsync with the best of them. I promise you, you will love this movie as much as I do, once you give it a chance and watch it!
I warned you this was a shameless plug!
Now I challenge you to watch Bride & Prejudice and not dance to “No Life Without Wife”
