Met Gala 2015: Best Dressed

One of the most glamorous events in my new city happened last night only a few blocks away from my apartment…the annual Met Gala. As with all red carpets, the celebrities wore stunning ensembles that highlighted the beauty of modern fashion. Many of the outfits also reflected the theme of this year’s event, “China: Through the Looking Glass.” Although I was not lucky enough to see these looks in person, I did round up a few of my favorites!

Gigi Hadid

Quickly becoming a household name, the stunning model wore a red Diane Von Furstenberg gown. The beaded bodice is incredibly intricate and pairs nicely with her loose waves and evening makeup.

Kate Hudson

Looking like a life-size Academy Award, Kate Hudson certainly brought the glitz to the carpet in this Michael Kors gown.

Reese Witherspoon

Simple but stunning, Reese looked flawless last night. The bold lines and matching red accessories gave this seemingly classic look some edge. It also reminded me of her choice for the Oscars.

Kendall Jenner

The moss green color of Kendall’s Calvin Klein gown was a refreshing look on the red carpet. It is clear that sparkle is definitely not going out of style any time soon.

Diane Kruger

Standing out from the rest of the crowd in floor length gowns, Diane Kruger wore a Chanel Haute Couture strapless top and sheer pants. I loved the detailing in each piece, creating a delicate and incredibly feminine look. The pale pink sash around the waist tied both of these two seemingly different pieces together perfectly.

Sarah Jessica Parker met gala best dressed

Sarah Jessica Parker

The queen of fashion showed up the only way a royal can…with a fiery crown! SJP’s look certainly reflected the theme and will hands down be one of the most memorable from the night. All hail queen Sarah Jessica Parker!

Saving the best for last, I absolutely LOVED Zendaya’s dress. This Fausto Puglisi gown brought to life the entire concept behind this event, which was originally known as The Costume Institute Gala. Every aspect of this outfit was interesting to look at and filled with intricate details. As a whole, Zendaya looked edgy and modern without being overkill.

There were so many incredible looks last night…which were your favorites? I am a little sad though that TSwift couldn’t make an appearance, I am still dreaming about her pale pink Oscar de la Renta gown from last years Met Gala.
