Grammy’s 2015: Best Dressed

Okay I know I am SUPER late with this post, my sincere & deepest apologies. Yesterday was my first full day living in my new apartment and it was exhausting to say the least. The highlight by far was eating Chinese food with my new roommate Christin on her bed while critiquing all of the The 57th Annual Grammy Awards fashion & performances. Based on her opinions and love of Chinese food I know that we are going to get along just fine! Now, onto the fashion!

Last night was filled with very interesting ensembles, and since it is the Grammy’s, most stars brought out the big guns. So here it goes… my favorite looks of the night!

Gwen Stefani

When I saw Gwen walking down the red carpet all I could think is She is so. freaking. cool. Gwen seriously looked incredible. Her look was the perfect mixture of edgy and elegant. Although most artists opted for gowns, Gwen showed everyone that you can still look incredibly beautiful in a pant suit. (Plus, being in a Atelier Versace one doesn’t hurt!) It was also nice to see her change it up and instead opt for a nude lip over her signature red lip.

Taylor Swift

Surprise, surprise, Taylor Swift looked amazing as always on a red carpet. Her Elie Saab gown was a refreshing shade of blue that truly stood out amongst all the other floor length gowns. The mixture of half-mini/half-gown and multiple straps brought a new twist to the typical awards show dress. I loved her use of fuchsia shoes and funky earrings to keep her outfit colorful, without overdoing it. I also felt like her choice had an interesting futuristic feel, maybe a sign of exciting things to come in her 1989 World Tour…?

Anna Kendrick

Okay, I know that Anna is not a recording artist, but I thought her Grammy’s fashion game was on point. Her plunging black blazer was simple and sexy. I loved that she was dressed entirely in black with minimal jewelry, it was the perfect outfit for a presenter.

Miley Cyrus

I was pleasantly surprised with Miley’s choice last night. Usually the Grammy’s is the one awards show where artists tend to go a little bit crazy with their looks. This year though, she seemed to tone it down in an Alexandre Vauthier cut out gown. It showed just the right amount of skin, and honestly looked amazing from every angle. Miley looked so chic, and this gown allowed us to focus on how beautiful she is, instead of getting sidetracked by some outrageous look.

Love it or hate it, Rihanna always wears a showstopper, and this Giambattista Valli gown is no exception. I honestly loved it because it was something completely different than what we usually see the “Styled to Rock” executive producer wearing. Also, all of the memes and photos of her taking over multiple seats was pretty hilarious. Hands down, this was the most talked about looked and Rihanna once again proved that she is the queen of fashion.

What were your favorite looks from last night’s 57th Annual Grammy Awards?

    • Agreed – Gwen looked incredible! Right?! Who would’ve expected Miley to look like that? I am still on the fence with Kim K, not sure how I feel. I need to watch Fashion Police from last night and hear a verdict ;)!
