My Bookshelf: Refinery29 Style Stalking

I’m back with another great book from Blogging for Books! Refinery29 Style Stalking is a necessity for any fashionista. Anyone who loves Refinery29 will be inspired by this coffee table book filled to the brim with fashion tips and awesome street style looks. The purpose of the book is to teach you that the goal of getting dressed every morning isnโ€™t just to look pretty, but to challenge so called “style rules” and really push your limits. Style Stalking is divided into several useful sections on layering, all black outfits, brights, and other common fashion questions. With a range of styles from denim looks to “ugly pretty”, anyone can find outfit inspiration from this book. Style Stalking feels like a compilation of clipped images from high end fashion magazines, but in a convenient fashion journal format. I personally enjoyed reading the Q&A section from industry experts on everything from their closet staples to helpful advice. It was refreshing to flip through a fashion book that not only provided outfit inspiration, but also tips to create these looks in your own life.

I will be the first to admit that I often get stuck in a fashion rut, and continue to use my favorite pieces in the exact same way. Refinery29 hit this book out of the park by including a range of styles in one easy to flip through colorful coffee table book. I highly recommend Style Stalking to any self proclaimed fashionistas or just someone looking to reinvent their current wardrobe!
